A Graphic Thought
« on: January 10, 2010, 04:10:06 PM »

We're not really into flashy graphics here, or at least haven't really been, as far as I know. Lauri's version of the site only had a single logo, and the old software didn't have the capability of embedding images. When I set up the new site, I didn't even turn on the avatar feature, mainly to save bandwidth.

The old site had a logo (visible at http://mwf.ravensbeak.com/images/bodylogo.gif), but I've been wondering about an updated version, that might fit in better at the top of the forum pages. Does anyone have any interest in taking a crack at something like that? I don't really have any particular image or set of images in mind. It's hard to come up with one picture that accurately represents everything all the sub-genres we cover here, so be creative as you work with it.

Along with that idea, I'd also like to come up with a favicon. Those are the little square graphics that load on the right side of your browser's address bar. In most cases, it's a smaller section of a company's or web-site's logo.

I'd prefer the two items be similar, but other than that, I'm pretty open to suggestions. If someone wants to take a crack at it, do so, and and post a link to where we can see them.

Sometimes it takes therapy to put the past behind you. Other times, it takes a 20 gallon trash bag and a couple of cinder blocks.
