Sorry, for me, it has to be melted vanilla ice cream on my apple pie...tart apples preferred with a flaky crust...and whole wheat is a plus!   ::)

Actually, I rarely eat cheese with apple pie.  Being mildly diabetic and wanting to hold on tight to that word "mildly," I don't actually consume huge quantities of apple pie, either.  My spouse (and co-author), being from Wisconsin, eats ice cream or cheese, either one (never together) whether there's apple pie to go with it or not.  Incidentally, she likes beards--or at least my beard, which is why I have one most of the time.  She is quite willing to tolerate me without one, however, so when it gets itchy, scaly, or--despite my best efforts--badly hacked up, I don't have one the rest of the time.

Books by Byron and Kay McAllister can most easily be obtained as e-books or in print from the publisher at http://www.writewordsinc.com/ For "Undercover Nudist," the print version is an improved version of the ebook version. The others are the same in both formats.

As a follicle-challenged guy, I never had a beard, but did wear a mustache for years.  The first time I de-weeded my upper lip, my kids thought I looked like a horse (figure that one out) and laughed profusely.  I finally shaved it off for good several years ago, which resulted in several people saying I looked younger.  The last time I gave my razor a week's rest (on vacation several weeks ago), 7 non-shaving days produced a sort of Don Johnson in Miami Vice appearance.

I'm originally from Wisconsin, but since I am lactose intollerant, I eat my pie plain.   :-\
