Title: a little more BSP
Post by: Ingrid on May 30, 2007, 05:29:50 PM
I have accepted an offer from AST (my Russian publisher) for BLACK ARROW.

And yesterday the ARCs of  ISLAND OF EXILES arrived.  I do like its cover very much.  It's up on Amazon.

Ingrid, I am ever more in awe of your accomplishments.  I went and looked at your cover.  It is very good!  All the best with Island of Exiles and the Russian version of Black Arrow!

Thanks much.  The accomplishments are minor.  My agent got the Russian deal, and the cover artist (Julius Ohta) is responsible for the cover.

And of course I rturn all good wishes to you guys.

I wish I knew how to say "How cool!" in Russian! Good on you, Ingrid! Do you ever get copies of these covers? They would make a nice little scrapbook.

Congratulations to you Ingrid. The cover is lovely. I think I've told you before, I think all your covers are pretty.

Thank you.

Charmaine, when I get author's copies, I post those covers on my website under "Translations."  Of course, it takes a while, since most publishers spend a year on the translation.

The above means well done. But as there is no exact equvalent of the phrase in Russian, it actually means "well done" as in cooking a steak!
