Apparently the Japanese love Agatha Christie, and they've done a cartoon adaptation. I've been assured by an anime/Christie fan that the series does follow the major plot points, so it could act as a Cliff's Notes guide or survey course on the Poirot and Marple novels.
What impressed me most was how they improved the story by adding a young girl with a pet duck.

Incidentally, does everybody know about the fine Japanese site--available in English--called "The Gumshoe Site"? Unfortunately, I couldn't find (maybe I didn't look long enough?) even more details about these anime Christie stories, but there's other interesting stuff there. The URL
