Early demise of old MWF?
« on: October 23, 2006, 12:03:57 PM »

I tried to get into the old site over the weekend and today but keep getting a WebBoard error.  I wanted to check that member list for more of the missing.  Is this really the end. :'( Goodbye, old friend.

I tried to get on too, Jay and couldn't.  I blamed my computer.  Apparently it was blameless.

I'm glad we have this site, but I have to agree with you about the old site's demise.   :'(

I tried, too, with the same luck you both had.

RIP, old MWF.

I ran into the same issue, and emailed Lauri:
Quote from: Lauri Hart
Yeah, we did an update of some server software due to a security problem and
the board hasn't been functioning well since.  We suspected that at some
point we'd start having these kind of problems.  That's why the board and
server have to go.

Joe's tried to get it working better, but hasn't been able to do much.  He
has surgery this afternoon (nothing serious) and won't be able to get back
to it for a couple of days.
Not sure if we'll be able to get back to it or not.

In the meantime, I'm sure Joe and Lauri would appreciate good thoughts.

I had tried to get in last week and couldn't. I had hoped to offer my thanks to Laurie and Joe for that board.
Now, I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers.
To you, too, Bob, for opening this one for us.

Hmm.  Just deleted from "favorites" when I couldn't get in. Sad, I know.  But times change.

Unlikely that we'll be able to get the old Board back up.

And since we were planning on taking it down at the end of the month, it probably isn't worth trying to revive it.  I think Joe may work on it if we have time, but I wouldn't expect much.

Sadly,
