Hey there everyone, long time no see!
I snuck a little mention of this on to my Facebook profile, hoping no one would notice, but a few did (hi Bob!), so I thought I should share my good news here.
It's not exactly the biggest deal, but one of my stories will be included in the second Thuglit anthology that will come out some time in 2009. I've been writing steadily now for three years (ditched the first novel, working on the second), but I've only written a handful of short stories, so it feels good to get this one in print.
There's a link to the story on my blog. It's called BUDDHA BEHIND BARS. Many thanks to Steven Torres for his invaluable feedback on the story.
(PLUG PLUG PLUG: you should really check out Torres' THE CONCRETE MAZE, if you haven't already)
It's an interesting feeling to sign a contract that will have almost no effect on your life for almost two years. I've always known that's the way this business works, but now I'm walking that path for myself.
And it's given me a taste for it. I want more.
