I have an author profile and brief review of Tim Maleeny's STEALING THE DRAGON in the new issue of Spinetingler. Also, I really got a kick out of seeing an ad for Ingrid's BLACK ARROW at the bottom of Maleeny's profile. How cool is that?! Anyway, lots of good short stories, interviews with authors (including Ken Bruen!), and book reviews. You can read it online or download it as a pdf from www.spinetinglermag.com.

Ah, Angie, I paid for that ad. Glad they are running it, though I haven't any idea how to get to it. And I see their author links don't list me. Sigh.

I'm not sure what you mean, Ingrid - what author links? Are you talking about the books on the Spinetingler home page? Far as I know,the books listed on the main site are rec.'d reads, not ads. Here's the link to go directly to the online format - http://www.spinetinglermag.com/spring2007contents.htm. If you go to the profile in Tim Maleeny, you'll see your book ad in the sidebar. I'm willing to bet that it's listed on other pages of the issue as well (they usually are, unless something's changed that I'm not aware of)>

I downloaded the pdf, but with the online issue, there is a hot link from the cover of your book to Amazon. Anyway, I just thought it was cool to see your ad because I know you from here.

Ah. I finally made it there. Yes, I see the itty bitty picture on the sidebar. I wonder why they wanted review snippets from me. I also see a review of the book elsewhere in SPINETINGLER. Must say, Angie, I wish you had reviewed. Your review is excellent. Originally, I believe, Sandra Ruttan planned to write the BLACK ARROW review. Oh, well, I tried.

Glad the review worked - wasn't sure as it was my first one.

I think they asked for review info for the pdf version, Ingrid. It looks like more of a traditional print ad in that format & your book has quotes from Kirkus, Publisher's weekly & Booklist, as well as a brief summary. Lovely cover art, btw.
