story in AHMM
« on: November 02, 2006, 05:02:23 PM »

I just got my copy of the January/February edition of AHMM.  It has my story "Moon Cakes" and the ad for BLACK ARROW in it.  Nice, the way we timed that -- and before Christmas, too.  :)

Ingrid,

Isn't it always nice seeing your name in print? I'm not sure I could get use to it, but you never know. I can be such a ham sometimes.  ::)

Good news, Ingrid. I'll have to grab a copy from Borders, if it turns up.

Congrats, Ingrid.  I'm going to have to track that one down.  BTW, I checked at our county library and Black Arrow is 'on order'.  They are missing Dragon Scroll, so I was going to suggest they get Black Arrow, but they had already ordered it.

Very grateful for all the support!

And happy that there seems to be enough demand for people to ask for the book at libraries. Because DS and BA are trade paper, Library Journal and Booklist usually don't review them. The assumption is that libraries don't order paperbacks.  This is not true of our library system.  Here's another bit of info: only hardcovers get a chance at being reviewed. It's an uphill fight whichever way you look at it.

Congratulations, Ingrid. I'm so proud of you!

Penny (who unfortunately will not be able to "grab a copy"...)
