I've finally gotten around to setting up an Amazon aStore. There are two sections at the moment: Writing Resources, and Member Books. I'm quite sure neither section is complete.
I'm quite open to suggestions for either category. Especially take a look at the member books for your own stuff if you would, and if I've missed it, please send me the ISBN, and I'll link it in.
The MWF Amazon Store (http://mwf.ravensbeak.com/forum/index.php?page=Bookstore)
Edit:
It seems a bunch of folks who got the announcement email forgot they were members. That announcement only went out to registered MWF members, even if you registered 2 years ago and never really did anything else. If you did, and that announcement brought you back, great! We're glad to see you again!
Edit 15 OCT 2011: Updated the link.

This is an amazing idea, Bob!
While reading the posts on this site, I've often thought that I wanted to read this member or that member's book. Usually, I'd get sidetracked and would forget about it. Or, if I kept at it, I'd have to go to Amazon and hunt for the author's name on the site and try to find their latest book.
Now they're on Amazon and all together in a MWF section? And the site gets help with operating expenses for every book sold?
You're a genius! I'm going shopping there now. This was a great idea.

Thanks, Linda.
I know I don't have everyone, because not all the members who are published have used their real name. If you notice someone is missing, please let me know.
Likewise, I'm open to suggestions on the Writing Resources books. I put that list together in about 10 minutes. But anything that gets purchased once you start through the store helps MWF, even if it's ultimately something completely unrelated.

That's a super idea and will make it easier to find books. Thanks for doing this.

Wow Bob, that is fantastic!
Deeply appreciate all the time and effort that must have taken.

Not only a very neat thing, but when Bob says he'll add your books, he means "right away." He added my (and spouse's) two he'd missed in less than 24 hours after I asked him to. Remember that old-time comic book character, "The Flash"? Bob must be some kind of relation! (I liked reading "The Flash." It had intellectual content. Unlike Superman.)

I appreciated the e-mail I received. Free promotion is always great! Please include my two
Five Star mysteries: THE DROWNING POOL and THE INFERNO COLLECTION. Also, my YA mystery,
WHERE IS ROBERT?
Thank you so much!

Byron, you're making me blush. It takes all of 5 seconds to add a title. :)
Jacqueline, done, done, done, as well as a couple of others of yours I found.

Five seconds to actually cut and paste, maybe, but it takes most people way more than a day or even two to get around to doing the cutting and pasting.

Bob, I am impressed. Just read through all the books by our members - we are clearly an exceptionally good looking and intelligent group. ;D
Is it possible to buy a gift certificate just for "our" book shop?
Elena

Just a note that I added a link to the store in the menu bar, between "Members" and "Logout."
Elena, I don't think you can limit the gift certificate that way, but you could, I think, add the store link as a personal message in the gift certificate.
-
Thank you, definitely a great gift idea.

Not really a big deal, but I've changed the appearance of the aStore a little. For the tech people, I'm using an iframe now to pull it in to the portal system. That just means it looks like it's really part of the MWF site.
I'm also going to pull the store widget from the left side of the portal page, and maybe toss an ad widget in there. When you want to get to the store, just use the link in the menu bar. Enjoy!

What a wonderful idea, Bob! Now can someone please tell me how to find the books written by our members? I can only seem to get to the writing-self-help books, not the fiction.

How to add my new private detective novel? It would be appreciated.
You can search for "Blood Storm" under my name "Sam Waas"
or here's the Amazon link:

Bob,
Are we no longer hosting MWF writers' books on our site?
I went to the MWF Amazon Store and all I found were books on writing craft (including Lee's delightful book), but none of the member written novels that were there before.
I haven't been there in a while, but I always enjoyed a spot where I could purchase our members' books. Is it in a different location now?
Thanks Bob,
Linda
