tidbit
« on: October 25, 2006, 12:21:20 PM »

Yesterday after school, a sophomore was assaulted in the parking lot of the local high school.
She was with her twin sister waiting for their ride when a truck pulled up to them, a man--not a kid--jumped out, ran to one girl, knocked her out, jumped back into his truck and sped off. She was still out when the EMT's arrived.

The woman who told me said the cops were still there when she picked up her son later.
That evening she saw a friend of hers who had a big black eye. The woman had gotten out of her car in her own driveway, turned from locking it, and a man had run up to her, popped her, and took off.

Initiation, or a new game?

It's intended to be the new game for teens. There have been several assaults here in Columbus in the same manner.

Sometimes it takes therapy to put the past behind you. Other times, it takes a 20 gallon trash bag and a couple of cinder blocks.

That's video game generation to you folks! What can we expect from kids who play at killing people and getting point with it to behave?
There is this game I saw a kid (7 years old) playing the other day : He's to drive around the city and kill as many passerby as possible. 500 points for a smashed window. 1000 points for an accident and so on... Is there no laws that could be applied to those things? What do we expect the next generation be like with these kind of things??? Sorry for those who work for the video game industry.
Now they have their portable cameras (cellphones) and taking it to real life...

Arg!  What I meant to say was happy slapping, not clapping!  Couldn't find a way to edit my post.
