What with the day job, a small freelance writing gig, a critique group to keep up with, book reviews to write, a thriller-in-progress, a new computer to beat into submission, and my parent's 50th wedding celebration to plan, I haven't been here in ages.
I feel shame.
But I spent my lunch hour catching up. This has been a talkative group in the last few weeks!
You know, I love the idea of a prostitute grandma :) Handled well, it could be tremendously funny.

Ah, Janet, it's nice to have you pop in. Sorry about all the work. You write reviews? Fantastic.
And quite right about the prostitute gandma.

Yah, I do roughly a review a month for Jeff Cohen at http://www.breakthroughpromotions.com/mysterymorgue/index.html In the November 'issue' I reviewed GARDENS OF THE DEAD by William Brodrick and THE KILL by Allison Brennan. Plus I review a writing book for a bi-monthly newsletter for the SinC chapter to which I belong. One and a half reviews a month doesn't sound like much work, and it's not, but they're almost always hanging over my head :)
Reviews are an interesting type of writing. I think I'm still doing too much synopsis and not enough opinion, but I'm getting better. I hope.
