Hi everyone! I've written "The Reluctant Coroner," a 95,000-word final draft of a murder mystery in a sleepy town on California's central coast. It's not really a cozy—too many intense scenes—but there's no gore, either. I decided to self-publish it; it's currently with my editor. I did have some short stories published in literary journals and on humor sites in the early days of the web (under another name), but this is the first novel I've ever finished. My favorite author is Siri Hustvedt, but I enjoy a ton of the mystery/crime novels of Lee Child (Jack Reacher) and Michael Connelly (Harry Bosch). I also like the classic mysteries—Sherlock and Poirot.
