After a long (and not enjoyable) time with a particular writers' group (thed final straw bing, having set up contacts in Waterstones and several other bookshops to promote the latest anthology, I find the 'chairperson' hasn't even filled in the paperwork to register the ISBN, on the grounds that "We didn't bother registering as we've only got 500 to sell")
So, I am going to be away to set up my own writers' group/circle - but the names I keep coming up with (Redhanded, Murderous Ink, etc) have all been taken via various domain registrations. As I certainly need to use the web as a promotional tool, there is an obvious need to get a name that's catchy (like the Black Death), easy to remember (like thingy - you know, used to be on around about...)and based on crime/mystery writing as I intend to run on that specialisation. Sorry, but if I get to hear someone read one more (expletive deleted) story about singing unicorns and talking gingerbread men, I swear I will take a rocket launcher to the Early Learning section of Toys-R-Us.)
Open to suggestions anyone?
