Hi all:

The Loft Literary Center (nonprofit literary arts organization) is hosting its first writers conference for mystery, crime, and thriller writers on November 14 and 15 at the Open Book building in Minneapolis (Open Book is also the home of Milkweed Editions and the Minnesota Center for Book Arts - worth a visit whether you attend the conference or not).

Line-up includes Vince Flynn, Masha Hamilton, Erin Hart, Julie Kramer, Ellen Hart, William Kent Krueger, and Lois Greiman.  There will also be research sessions hosted by medical examiners and criminal psychologists.  Also, Midnight Ink will be hosting a session on the type of works they are looking to publish.

Complete information can be found here:

http://www.loft.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=413

You can get a discount on admission with proof-of-purchase from Once Upon A Crime Bookstore or Magers & Quinn Booksellers (both in Minneapolis).
