Writers Digest Comp'
« on: April 18, 2008, 06:15:34 AM »

Good morning all!

You are all probably aware of this competition.

Linda sent me details several weeks ago and I will be entering a story into the "short story Genre" of The Annual Writers Digest competition; a humble offering entitled "No Mans Land."
Please look out for it when the results come out in November, its bound to be there!....Yeah right!... ::)

Its not a mystery; but if anyone would like to cast a critical eye over it then I'm happy to post it and would be very thankful....I need all the help I can muster!.... :)

Linda tells me that parts of it are quite "eloquent!"  Me! eloquent!  Whatever next!?....Thanks Linda  :-*

Tony - I'd be glad to give it a once over. Send it as either an MSWord .doc file or plain .txt file to me: rickyg at fawnridge dot com.

Ricky, thankyou!
I will send it on just as soon as I finish yet another edit...It is only 3,700 words long, the rules dictated a short story of less that 4,000.  It is set in London in 1940..Perhaps a relevant question is; how could one define London in 1940 as, "No mans Land."  Very easily...

Also I have placed a reply to your thread on the Police section on Sniper Rifles...I hope it helps.
