Just received this message from my host, announcing some upcoming server work.

Scheduled Dates and Times:
Fri., January 17, 2014: Maintenance window is 8 hours starting at 23:00 (11 PM EST) through 07:00 (7 AM EST) the following morning.
Sat., January 18, 2014: Maintenance window is 8 hours starting at 23:00 (11 PM EST) through 07:00 (7 AM EST) the following morning.
Sun., January 19, 2014: Maintenance window is 8 hours starting at 23:00 (11 PM EST) through 07:00 (7 AM EST) the following morning.

Maintenance Type:
Our datacenter will be upgrading the core of our network, and replacing all their hardware components with updated equipment.

This will provide increased capacity and ensure long term stability and growth. These upgrades are necessary, and will allow us to provide exciting new services and products, to our already diverse product offering, in the future.

Estimated Downtime:
We and our datacenter understand the importance of minimizing downtime when performing upgrades to our network.

For this reason they will be doing what they can to expedite the procedures.

That said, and given the nature of the upgrade, you can expect minor outages and latency lasting up to 25 minutes during the 8 hour maintenance window.
