Peter, I did see your reply in Part 4...I just responded here, because I realized this section had the reason I brought up the question in the first place. I guess we're just looking at it a little differently, is all.
I understand that you could wait til after first draft to actually make final decisions on the character's looks, sounds, and tags. I just thought it would be awfully hard to get through a first draft without knowing some back story for important characters, since that is often what dictates how the plot will proceed, as you said yourself in this section.
It's not necessary to respond. It's just an observation. As you say, there's no one way to proceed with some of these elements.
