Bob Mueller:
Welcome to MWF, Lane Maxfield! Take a moment and introduce yourself. What do you write? Are you published? Who is your favorite author?
Enjoy your stay!
Lane Maxfield:
Hi! Sorry for the delay in responding. I am not yet published but I have been writing since I was a kid (my first story was a present for my grandfather when I was four years old and I haven't been able to stop). I've decided it is time to get serious about this as a career and mysteries have always been serious emotional comfort food for me. My favorite author of classic mysteries is Rex Stout. His Nero Wolfe series are next level in their characterization and I'd have take Wolfe take my case over Hercule Poirot any day. A close second is G. K. Chesterton's Father Brown series. My favorite author for any genre is Terry Pratchett, who writes parody fantasy that is surprisingly moving and philosophical while still containing plenty of dumb puns and fart jokes. ;D
