Mystery puzzles?

Has anyone tried any of these puzzles? The writing's not the best, but it's interesting how it had to be adapated to fit the puzzle. I think it's a little bit jarring, but it doesn't break the fourth wall as badly as it could by saying "hey, now look at this scene!"
