Someone over at Global Affairs posted this site, and I thought it a useful resource to share here.

The complete 'Silly Names List'
This list has been compiled solely from records held at Cornwall Record Office and has been collected together over the course of the last six years. The only qualification to appear on the list is the possession of a name which can be considered silly or unusual. For this reason not all the entries relate to Cornish people; there are many nationalities present

I think I need to add a "Names" section to the resource page. If you've got some good Naming links, post them here.

Fantastic, Bob!  Obidiah Ashplant.  And a child named "Placid".  (Parents can only hope.)  It's a great source for historical names.
